Malaysia Cat Groomers Association (MCGA) believes in life long professional development, ongoing enrichment, sharing of grooming creativities and the opportunity to enhance and challenge oneself. We help set standards to which all responsible Cat Groomers and Stylists should adhere, regardless of where and how they were trained.
We encourage all cat groomers to act professionally at all times, run their business with honesty and integrity towards their customers and promote professionalism, compassion, and industry-wide participation in continuing education.
Through workshops, seminars, competition, and examination testing, MCGA will offer cat groomers the chance to develop their abilities and become certified.

All cat grooming academy syllabuses under MCGA have been accredited by KLTVET, certified by the European Education Board (EEB) and have also been validated by Alzette University, France.
Logos on Certificates
Certification logos are issued when initial certification audit has been successfully approved. The validity period of the logos is link to the validity period of the certificate that is issued.

MCGA has the role of awarding the status of 'Certified Professional Groomer' to teaching staff / instructors who successfully pass the special MCGA exam in accordance with MCGA standards as a pillar of the cat grooming and training industry.ย
This recognition is only awarded to prospective professional cat groomers who have reached the merit level of assessment by the MCGA. This certification allows cat grooming entities to use the MCGA logo on certificates and advertising posters related to business activities and cat grooming.

'Certified Professional Module' is only given to Certified Professional Groomers who are interested in becoming teachers / instructors in the field of cat grooming, through a draft module submitted and who have reached the professionalism standard by MCGA. This 'Certified Professional Module' is assessed based on advanced knowledge, creativity, innovation in specific skills and the latest cat grooming techniques.

'Certified Professional Groomers' is only awarded to premises that comply with the standards as a cat grooming teaching and training centre. The industry standard set by MCGA to fulfill the purpose of 'Certified professional Groomers' must have 3 complete elements which include:

โ ๏ธConvenience and complete facilities
โ ๏ธHave received the recognition of the 'Certified Professional Module'
This recognition qualifies the MCGA logo to be used not only on certificates and advertising posters related to business activities and cat grooming but also on certified premises.
MCGA's direction is to produce qualified and competent cat groomers in the industry. Also to ensure that the teaching staff is equipped with comprehensive knowledge in guiding cat groomers to become professional / certified groomers, in addition to monitoring the activities of the grooming class at the registered academy.
